Electroformed Nature Sari Necklaces
I am excited to share with you real items that I permanently encapsulated in copper to create wearable art. The ginkgo leaves and maple seed were found in nature and the feathers are craft store feathers. The glittery orange stone on the feather necklace is a sunstone and the two stones on the other feather necklace are diamond quartz. The maple seed features diamond quartz. Each purchase is for one necklace. The necklace cord is recycled sari silk yarn. I love how soft the silk sari material is and that you can adjust the length of the necklace. I recommend tying the necklace in a square knot (left over right under then right over left under). The material will naturally fray. If you prefer a chain over the sari silk, please message me. Each piece is handmade (by me!) from start to finish through a crafting and electroform process. Each piece takes a week or more to craft. All pieces posted are already made and are ready to ship. The process I use makes each piece totally unique and no two pieces will be exactly the same. The primary metal is copper which has been electroformed onto the piece and sealed to preserve the color. Electroforming is a process that uses electrical currents to “grow” the copper onto the piece. The metal has been sealed and to best maintain the color of the piece, keep your piece free of chemicals and avoid prolonged exposure to water and sweat. You can gently polish your piece and reseal but avoid sealing the stone. Your piece is wearable art! To preserve the quality of your item, avoid exposing your piece to harsh chemicals or submerging in water. Remove your piece before showering and sleeping. Avoid dropping your piece to protect the stones. All pieces are shipped in a jewelry bag inside a cardboard jewelry box with a jewelry care card. This is all packed in a bubble mailer with tissue paper. The jewelry bag is stamped with my cat's face, Garcia. I hope you enjoy your piece as much as I enjoyed creating it for you.
