Lattes and Lavender Self Care
Handmade wild beauty products without all the b.s.
My name is Kristin Matz. A mom of two beautiful boys with an Alaskan Husky named Huck (short for Huckleberry), stay-at-home mom and mom-preneur (mom entrepreneur), a military spouse (stationed in Anchorage, Alaska), U.S. Army Reservist, annnnnd married to my high school sweetheart. I am blunt. A Leo Sun with a Capricorn Moon & Sagittarius Rising. A bad-ass chick addicted to white mocha lattes & mountain views. I am a Montana native and I come from a very pioneer-like family. I grew up with all our veggies coming straight from our garden and local beef from my grandparents ranch. Everything was made from scratch, although this would be what a Taurus mother would do! My mother was the one who cultivated my love for organic living. How did I start this business? My youngest son (was 2 months old at the time) had developed some crazy (and rather nasty) cradle cap. When my oldest son was a baby, I used expressed breastmilk to help alleviate baby rashes and baby acne so I thought maybe I could make a milk bath. I started out using my expressed breastmilk (between 4 - 6 ounces in a small baby tub of water once a day) then moved on to using whole milk powder. This. Was. Amazing. Within a week my youngest sons’ extreme cradle cap was virtually gone. All of my self-care products are thoughtfully made - 100% natural, non-toxic, locally sourced (made in the U.S. if not locally sourced), and absolutely non-GMO ingredients. No bullshit here folks. Where do I plan on going from here? Within the next 5 years, my goal is to have a mobile boutique via trailer & carry other small businesses in this boutique for the ultimate Instagrammable experience plus lift up other small business baddies.
